About Us

Lagos Medical Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited is a registered cooperative society established in 2015 and based at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos.

The Society is made up primarily of medical professionals, including house officers, resident doctors, and medical officers, united by a common goal of promoting financial stability and mutual support among members.

We operate as a member-driven organization committed to improving the economic well-being of our members through structured savings, access to loans, and strategic investments.

President

Dr. Damilola Esther Adeyemo is a dedicated Radiodiagnosis Specialist with over ten years of clinical experience, currently practising at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Nigeria. A committed leader within the medical community, she assumed office as General Secretary of the Cooperative in February 2025, bringing a robust track record of administrative service. Frequently Ask Questions

What is the eligibility criteria for membership?

Doctors employed in Lagos University Teaching Hospital are eligible to be members of this Cooperative. These include Residents, Medical Officers and House Officers.

Fill the membership form and submit. Your application would be reviewed and your status communicated to you via mail.

You can assess soft loans, regular loans or project loans as a member of the Cooperative. Soft loans are loans less than 500,000 provided your total savings is more than 500,000. Regular loans are capped at two times your total savings and Project loans are 3 times your total savings. Project loans are only granted following a good credit score on previous loans and it’s subject to approval based on previous records.

Simply walk to the Secretariat and purchase your desired items. Payment would be deducted from your subsequent contributions with minimal interest attached
